I'm sure you have heard about the destruction typhoon Haiyan caused when it recently struck the Philipines. More than half a million people have lost their homes, and 10 million need urgent access to water and food. It's terrible how these things keep happening, but when they do I feel it's our duty as humankind to reach out and support one another if we are able. Richard Morris, a well known musician and event promotor in The Hague is organising 'Songs for the Philipines'. It's going to be a 24 hour non-stop benefit concert for the survivors of typhoon Haiyan.
We are going to perform on Sunday afternoon at 13:00. Location is Humanity House in The Hague (Prinsegracht 8). Entrance is free, though a 5 euro donation is recommended. At present time, about 35 acts have been confirmed and this number is expected to keep rising.
